Jessica Walsh started Ladies, Wine & Design in New York after doing a lot of thinking and reading on why there are so few women creative directors. Jessica believes we can change that through mentorship and championing others' work. I couldn't agree more. Here are some articles that inspired me to start a Houston chapter of Ladies, Wine & Design:

Kill Them With Kindness
The Power of Vulnerability
Where Are All The Women Creative Directors?
An Open Letter to Up-and-Coming Women in Digital Design

Numbers show that there's a very small percentage of women leading the creative industry. However, the people we could be most inspired by most are other talented ladies. Let's build a list of women we have admired, worked with, or had our eyes on! Email me if you want to nominate someone for this list, especially women in the Space City.
