Ladies, Wine &
Design Oslo

A conversation series by Jessica Walsh
hosted by Live Schille & Aurora Brunvoll

Ladies, Wine Design was started by Jessica Walsh after writing this article as an initiative to foster women creativity. Only a tiny percent of creative directors are women, and LW&D wants to help change this through mentorship circles, portfolio reviews, and creative meet-ups. In less than a year of launching, we've spread to chapters in over 120 cities all over the world.

LW&D is a monthly salon night limited to a small group of creative women. We’ll wine, dine, and have casual conversations on a wide variety of topics relating to creativity, business, and life. Occasionally we will host events open to a bigger audience, like talks, speed-dates or other concepts. If you’re a student or creative and would like to join, please do email us. It's free to join!

Coming to Oslo soon. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to keep up to date. The Oslo chapter is hosted by Live Schille and Aurora Brunvoll.

5th of December, 18.00 Kick-Off

Join us at the Ladies, Wine & Design Kick-Off at Hvaskjer at Torshov. There will be wine, inspiring ladies on the stage and a chance to meet other creative ladies.

TBA Inspiration & Process

Where do ideas come from? How do you start a process in order to come up with a good idea? What are the best methods or tricks for working creatively? Bring a project you’re working on, and we’ll discuss the concept and thinking behind it.

TBA Portfolio Reviews

Bring your portfolio or website and we’ll have a discussion about your work, and and how to shape your portfolio based on your goals.

Jessica Walsh wrote an article on 12kindsofkindness.com, about her experience with other women in the industry, and how sometimes women can be unsupportive of each other. She has been doing a lot of thinking and reading on why there are so few women creative directors. She believes we can change that through mentorship and championing others' work.

A wage survey from 2015 conducted by Grafill, the Norwegian organization for visual communication, IxDA and Making Waves shows that there is still a wage gap between men and women in Norway. Recent graduated women earn more than men, but men still earn in average 11% more than women.

Numbers show that there's a very small percentage of women leading the creative industry. However, we know there are a lot of talented ladies out there. Please email us if you want to nominate someone for this list.
