May 25, 2017 | 7pm Charlotte Kick-Off

Welcome to our inaugural event, where we hope you will help us dream of future topics, workshops and overall vision for this conversation series.

We invite a curious group of women to chat about the current climate of design, especially in Charlotte, and our role in a creating a better future.

Jessica Walsh started Ladies, Wine & Design in New York after realizing only a tiny percent of creative directors are women. LW&D wants to help change this through mentorship circles, portfolio reviews, and creative meet-ups.

So why add more Jess's into this mix? Sure – we love design, wine and conversation (who doesn't?), but those statistics scare us. We believe it is important to do something about the gaps and hurdles we face as women in this field. We don’t want to focus just on the negatives of our challenge though, we want to be part of the solution (or at least the conversation).

Numbers show that there is a very small percentage of women leading the creative industry. We are working on a list of women in Charlotte that we admire. Email us at if you want to nominate someone for this list.
