Jessica Walsh started Ladies, Wine & Design in New York after realizing only a tiny percent of creative directors are women. LW&D wants to help change this through mentorship circles, portfolio reviews, and creative meet-ups.

What We Can Do About the Dearth of Female Creatives?
So why add more Jess's into this mix? Sure – we love design, wine and conversation (who doesn't?), but those statistics scare us. We believe it is important to do something about the gaps and hurdles we face as women in this field. We don’t want to focus just on the negatives of our challenge though, we want to be part of the solution (or at least the conversation).
Numbers show that there is a very small percentage of women leading the creative industry. We are working on a list of women in Charlotte that we admire. Email us at email@example.com if you want to nominate someone for this list.
