Empowering Creative Ladies
In Cheltenham

Hello Cheltenham! If you work, teach or study in the creative sectors (and are a female) it's time to get excited. Ladies, Wine and Design is here in Cheltenham for monthly creative salon nights where we'll wine, dine and talk openly on a wide variety of topics relating to creativity, business and life.

My aim is to create a supportive space where we can share our ideas, knowledge and experiences to help each other grow in our creative careers.

So if you're a female creative (student or professional) and would like to find out more, and be notified about our events please head here. It's free to join our events! *Our space is inclusive of all women, non-binary, agender and gender non-conforming people. Self-definition is at the sole discretion of that individual. If you feel you could benefit from a space meant for people who do not identify as men to share ideas and collaborate, you are welcome. **Alcohol is entirely optional; you can drink tea, coffee or whatever you like!

Thursday 7th Feb 2019 Launch Night

We're launching LWD Cheltenham with a good old-fashioned mixer! It's an informal evening where I kick things off with a short explainer of what LWD Chelt is all about then us creative ladies of Cheltenham can get to know each other a little bit over a class of wine. Sponsored by Sixways Wine Bar.

Wednesday 20th March 2019 Work In Progress

This evening is all about sharing. We will be joined by the lovely Shadowplay Design and Culpepper who will be talking us through their collaborations and the impact interiors and brand have on business when they join forces.

You can also bring along a piece of work to share with the group. It could be an idea or concept that needs a second opinion or something you've got stuck on and needs some extra brains. We can be your testers, your critics, your advisors. Whatever you need to get your work to the next level.

July Show Off!

Ladies Wine Design Cheltenham will be teaming up with creative professionals for a free portfolio review event for women creatives who are currently studying or recently graduated.

Our female designers of the future will get valuable advice from women leaders in the creative industry through their portfolio or a piece of work, gain insights into the realities of the industry and expand their creative network.

If you're a creative professional and want to share your journey and work with a bunch of bright eyed and bushy tailed young ladies then please email me at georgina@factorypattern.co.uk.

Mentors names and dates will be available soon.

September Love Yourself

We will be joined by a life coach for a chat about those niggling negative thoughts we have about ourselves and our work. She will tell you where they come from, how to recognise them and make them work for you. DATE COMING SOON.
Opening Soon

Jessica Walsh started Ladies, Wine & Design in New York after doing a lot of thinking and reading on why there are so few women creative directors. She believes we can change that through mentorship and championing others' work and I couldn't agree more.

So I started a Cheltenham chapter to help continue Jessica's mission. I work in digital design where an eye-watering 78% of the UK’s design workforce is male. I also think it would be fun to meet other lady creatives, share our stories and champion each other's work as much as we can.

The aim of Ladies, Wine and Design events are to create a totally supportive and open space for women in the creative industry to come together and share our experiences.

Our purpose is to see more women in creative leadership roles.

We would like all of our events to be free, so we rely on the generosity of our local community to sponsor our events. That could either be by providing a space for our meetups, donating some delicious wine (other beverages are welcome) or speaking at one of our events.

Here are some of the fabulous people who have supported our events so far:
