Raw, empty spaces are an essential part of creativity. Across disciplines, space is not just a void but a tool, a starting point, and a means of expression. At this event, we explore how creatives shape, use, and embrace space.
To explore the theme from different angles, we’re giving the stage to three incredible ladies, each sharing their unique approach to Raw Space:
Miriam Hausner on Placemaking
Betül Demirden on Urban Planning
Anika Brinkötter on Mixed Media Art

Ladies, Wine Design was started by Jessica Walsh when she realized that sometimes women can be competitive or unsupportive of one another. Only a small percent of creative directors are women, and LW&D wants to help change this through mentorship circles, talks, and creative meet-ups. In less than two years of launching, we've spread to chapters in over 250 cities all over the world.
Have a look at the global page here.
Our chapter here in Düsseldorf was started by Ana Luiza Cavalcanti, handed to Emily Wild, Lilly Friedeberg & Alessia Sistori, before being run by Maria Wintz.

Numbers show that there’s a very small percentage of women leading the creative industry. However, we find the people we are inspired by most are often other talented ladies. We are always interested in discovering new local connections so please reach out if you think there is someone we should meet!
