Waiting for the 22th edition of Napoli COMICON from April 30th to May 3rd, LWD Naples launch “Road to Comicon”, a series of conversations with 4 women from the comic industry, as part of the COMIC(ON)OFF calendar.⠀
From February till April, 4 nights to grab a drink with female authors and insiders, to share experiences and put the attention on the role of women in the creative field.
Be thirsty and be curious, because on Feb 6 we will grab a drink with Cristina Portolano to have a look behind the scenes of “Non so chi sei”, her graphic novel inspired by the project “My Tinder date”, by PATREON.
Cristina is a Neapolitan graphic novelist and illustrator, based in Bologna. She collaborated with Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls and the online platform Freeda and she’s the author of many publications such as “Quasi Signorina” (Topipittori, 2016), “Io sono mare” (Canicola, 2018), “Francis Bacon - La violenza di una rosa” (Centauria, 2019).
Moreover, did we say that she’s so damn cool?
Save the date, because we look forward to see you on Feb 6th at 9pm at Mamamu, Via Sedile di Porto 46, Naples.
Jessica Walsh started Ladies, Wine & Design in New York after to start the conversation with one simple question: why are there so few female leaders in the creative industry? This is a great chance for us ladies to meet, talk and inspire each other.
Numbers show that there's a very small percentage of women leading the creative industry. In a scenario in which each of us has to fight to find her own space, would be nice for creative women to share that space instead: to get together, share thoughts, foster healthy relationships, support each other through mentorship and experiences. That's why Ladies, Wine & Design Naples was born!
Our events are inclusive of all women, non-binary, agender and gender non-conforming people. Self-definition is at the sole discretion of that individual. If you feel you could benefit from a space meant for people to share ideas and collaborate, you are welcome!
