This is the Rio Grande Valley "RGV" chapter of Global LW&D where creative ladies gather to support and empower each other’s creative growth. Our meet-ups are about sharing experiences, and inspire each other with knowledge and resources. We will discuss a wide variety of topics relating to creativity, business, entrepreneurship, and life. Our Events and features will be bilingual.

Jessica Walsh started Ladies, Wine & Design in NYC after she she realized that sometimes women can be competitive or unsupportive of one another. Only a small percent of creative directors are women, and LW&D wants to help change this through mentorship circles, portfolio reviews, talks, and creative meet-ups. Here is the article Jessica wrote about the event that led up to her starting LW&D:
Numbers show that there's a very small percentage of women leading the creative industry. However, the people we could be most inspired by most are other talented ladies. Let's build a list of women we have admired, worked with, or had our eyes on! Email us if you want to nominate someone for this list.
*Our space is inclusive of all women, non-binary, agender and gender non-conforming people. Self-definition is at the sole discretion of that individual. If you feel you could benefit from a space meant for people who do not identify as cis men to share ideas and collaborate, you are welcome. **Alcohol is entirely optional; you can drink tea, coffee, or whatever you like!
