Jessica Walsh started Ladies, Wine & Design in NYC after she she realized that sometimes women can be competitive or unsupportive of one another. Only a small percent of creative directors are women, and LW&D wants to help change this through mentorship circles, portfolio reviews, talks, and creative meet-ups. Here is the article Jessica wrote about the event that led up to her starting LW&D:

12 Kinds of Kindness: Kill them with Kindness by Jessica Walsh

Numbers show that there's a very small percentage of women leading the creative industry. However, the people we could be most inspired by most are other talented ladies. Let's build a list of women we have admired, worked with, or had our eyes on! Email us if you want to nominate someone for this list, especially women in the Alamo City.
