Globally, women face unique challenges in achieving workplace equality. Women need to spend more energy to balance work, life and family responsibilities. At the same time compared with men, women are less likely to negotiate a pay rise or promotion. One study shows only 7 percent of women negotiated with prospective employers for an increased wage, while 57 percent of men did so which likely played a role in men’s salaries being on average 7.6 percent higher than women. So this month Ladies, Wine and Design invite successful women in the creative industry to share how they develop their career path, how they grow their value within the team, and how to ask for a promotion and more resources. We hope to encourage you to bravely develop your career path and at the same have a deeper understanding of the design and creative industry.
