Ladies, Wine & Design is a global non-profit initiative founded by Jessica Walsh. Only a tiny percent of creative directors and agency founders are women/non-binary BIPOC. Our mission is to see more diversity in the creative industry, especially within leadership roles. We can change that through mentorship and championing others' work. So, voila! Ladies, Wine & Design Spokane was born. Here are some things that are inspiring us if you want to learn more:
Numbers show that there's a very small percentage of women leading the creative industry despite the overwhelming evidence that diversity is directly correlated to an organization's success. What's more, this blatant sexism is all too often perpetuated by other women in the industry 😖 If we channeled our competitiveness into personal growth instead of spending energy judging and diminishing the accomplishments of others, imagine how much more talent we could cultivate 🖤
