A salon night held monthly for creative ladies* in the DC Metropolitan area. We’ll wine**, dine, and have casual conversations on a wide variety of topics relating to creativity, business, and life. If you identify as a creative woman* and are interested, you're welcome to join us! LWD DC partnered with DC Design Week. The creative community in DC is an ever-growing body of professionals, makers, and voices working across disciplines. Hosted and produced by AIGA DC, DC Design Week is an annual celebration of that community.

August 12th 2020 Activism Meets Creativity - Art Workshop & Conversation

Join us this month with Savannah Imani Wade for an art workshop and conversation of what freedom looks like for Black and Indigenous people.
Savannah Imani Wade is a D.C. based figure painter, educator, and performing artist studying at Maryland Institute College of Art. Storytelling is a core in the traditions of her Black, Mexican Indigenous, and American Indigenous ancestry. Savannah interprets art as a space for remembering, and healing through rediscovery.

July 22nd 2020 Confidence with Wine

Kim Kachmar of Together With Wine will host a virtual wine tasting focused on building your wine confidence by showing us how to taste wine, general knowledge and pairing tips.

LWD DC is recognizing, reflecting and acting on what we can do to help the black community from police violence, systemic racism, and oppression.

LWD DC partnered with The Brand Stand's owner AnnMarie Flamenco hosting a 24-hour event to donate creative services to businesses effected by COVID-19.
